Sands, Fishes and Me

DAY ONE OF MY PALAWAN TRIP

OCTOBER 30, 2010

I AM A MAN OF THE SEA!

Yeah the seaaaaaa

So basically our company trip to Palawan, Philippines.  One of the biggest tourist destinations in our country.

AND MY RIVAL APPEARS ONCE AGAIN!

THE AIRPLANE.

Like what happened with my trip to Hong Kong, I just wanna remind you guys that I have really really sensitive ear pressure thingies. WHICH HURT LIKE HELL.

Anyways

Fast forward an hour flight etc etc. It hurt but not that bad this time luckily.

THE RIVAL APPEARS!

The evil plane >_<

Anyways! We arrive at Palawan around 11 am I guess.

THE AIRPORT STATION THINGY!

The airport thingy. It was pretty small.. I was still a bit groggy here so yeah DX

After arrival we got on some vans and we headed to the wharf thingy. We ride this long motor boats to get to the islands D:

Boat ride

Noisy little boat things. about 15-20 people on board or so. On to the first island I guess.

They call it the Starfish Island D:

Cuz there’s apparently starfishes around D:

I didn’t take a photo of the starfishes cuz I got lazy and hungry.

Feet on the sand

First thing you do on a beach? Barefoot! Sand feels so nice.

The beach part

It’s really a beautiful place. I have no complaints!

Towards the island

Just awesome.

So after having lunch on the first island, we headed off to the 2nd Island.

They call it snake island not because there are snakes. but because the island is an S shape.

Island naming wasn’t really their forte i guess D:

In the 2nd Island we were allowed to go around snorkeling and stuff so i whipped out my underwater camera and started taking pictures!

Fishies

WHY COULDN’T THEY HOLD STILL

More fishies!

THEY WERE EVERYWHERE!

Bigger fishie!

This one was really big compared to the rest.  I tried getting closer but it was pretty fast. It’s the biggest one i saw while snorkeling.

Say cheese!

I love the expression on that one fish. It was like, WHAT THE! XD

Me on the corner feeding fish

We were feeding the fish some bread D:

This was taken by the boatman we had. They did everything. From diving and tugging us along, to handling the boat. Actually they were also the ones who cooked our lunch! they were also on call photographers D:

Really awesome dudes.

Time to leave

Then time was up. We had to go to the next destination or else we’ll be late for the boat curfew where in the coast guards will consider us lost if we didn’t arrive before 6 pm.

After the snake island, we headed off to this turtle thing in the middle of the sea. It’s like a floating lobby where we’re suppose to go snorkeling again.  It’s some sort of coral reef preserve where we’re not allowed to touch anything and just look.

Bamboo path to the turtle

This is the only thing that separated us from the sea below. Some bamboo sticks floating in the water.

The whole thing you’ll see in a little bit.

Inside the turtle!

This was the turtle thing i was saying earlier.

It’s pretty weird inside i guess. I wasn’t able to take a photo of it from far away cuz I suck at taking pictures.

And i didn’t take any pictures while snorkeling. Instead i took videos which I’ll be posting soon.

Me again

So i did take a photo!

now that’s one heck of a coral reef *_*

Path back to the boats

And now you see the horrible path way.

No hand rails. No stability. Not even a rope around it.

And it’s terribly shaky. The fear of falling into the blue unknown will strike you with terror!!

Love this one

After the coral reef we head back to the wharf. The sun already set when we got on the boat so I didn’t get an awesome sunset pic. but i guess this one will do?

Microhotel~

This was pretty much the hotel. This side was towards the beach. It’s pretty cool. Nice beds, Nice showers, free coffee and The bathroom was nice to use, I’m usually very picky with toilets but this one didn’t disappoint me one bit!

Pool area~

A nice little pool beside the beach area. We hopped into that the 2nd day.

The beach side

While everyone was down in their rooms, dead tired. I took the liberty of walking around the area. The beach was nice. Really nice.

Really liked this shot

The sound of the waves was seriously relaxing. I almost slept at a hammock by the beach side.

Too bad the seaweed kinda ruins it a bit cuz there was so much of it.

While walking around the sand you’ll notice sudden movements along the beach.

It’s creepy at first because you can barely seen anything here.

I took random pics and after a while i got a really good one

MS CRAB AND HER LITTLE BABY

There were crabs running around the beach =D

CUTE LITTLE DELICIOUS THINGS.

Well after walking around for about half an hour i decided to call it a night and went to my room and slept.

2nd day pics i’ll try to upload by tomorrow i guess XD

Thanks for reading :3
